Man fatally shot in drive-thru lane of north Phoenix restaurant; investigation underway

Phoenix police are investigating the death of a man who was shot early Sunday morning in the drive-thru lane of a north Phoenix restaurant. Officers

responded to the area of Dunlap Avenue and Second Street just before 4 a.m. to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified man with a

gunshot wound, Phoenix police spokesperson Sgt. Robert Scherer said. The man was treated on scene by Phoenix fire crews but was ultimately pronounced dead at the

were in the drive-thru lane of a restaurant, police said. One of them brought out a handgun and shot the victim, who as of Monday morning had not been identified by police.

The suspect then fled from the scene, police said. No arrests have been made as the investigation remained ongoing.
